First finding his passion for sound in Stuttgart, Germany, before making the leap to Vancouver at the age of 16, Konrad Czaplak has been a creature of the studio since his teenage years. His early time in the city saw him experimenting with microphones and analog gear across the studio scene in Vancouver, tweaking preamplifiers, dialing in compressor settings, and developing the balance of experience and curiosity that gives his foley a unique depth. His diverse credit list includes Netflix and Syfy series, feature films, and a wide array of television movies and short films. He has five Leo nominations, including a win, and dreams of one day raising a pair of british bulldogs named Scully and Mulder.
